My story
I’m the tight hamstrings and the achy hip. Frustratingly inflexible in my body. I came to yoga through sport and stayed because I liked what it did to my body and my mind.
I’ve been taught by the best. Christine Howitt christinehowittyoga.co.uk is an incredibly instinctive teacher, with a style that helps students to slow down and really listen in to their bodies and sense of well-being. Sarah Ramsden sportsyoga.co.uk is the best sports yoga teacher out there, with a deep understanding of anatomy and using yoga principles to improve athletic performance.
Both bring their own perspective to functional movement which has influenced my own yoga practice.
There are some obvious benefits to yoga practice. It’s safe. At least the way I teach it. It improves strength, balance, flexibility. Increases mobility and fluidity. Better movement patterns. Improves your posture. Helps you sleep better. Helps you feel more relaxed. Deepens your breath. Stills your mind.
“I’m really feeling the benefit of the regular yoga sessions with Jenny in so many ways – reduction in pain from gluteal tendonitis and sleeping better as a result, improved general flexibility and balance – also I have improved body tone overall. The benefits have been greater than I expected. Jenny has a lovely empathetic style and she works around my inflexibilities. I am very grateful for the improvements she has brought me and look forward to her classes.”

“Coming to yoga has made such a difference to my hockey. I can stay on the pitch for longer and I’ve noticed a massive improvement to my recovery time after a game”

“As an ex-dancer yoga has helped me re-connect to my body and feel more aware of good movement in everyday life”
